About

Superior Companion Care

An individual in crisis presents challenges for the whole family. Here are some questions to reflect on as you consider companion services:

  • Is the situation unmanageable?
  • Are there safety concerns?
  • Has working with experts been unsuccessful?
  • Are legal issues mounting?
  • Have you tried institutional care?
  • Is support needed post-rehabilitation to prevent relapse?
  • Are medications and physician advice not being followed?

If you answered yes to one or more questions and need personalized onsite support for a week, a month or more, I may be able to help.

My Approach

I spend time with individuals to keep them safe during turbulent times. Each individual is unique, so I tailor support to situational needs. Sometimes this means providing 24/7 oversight to an individual in crisis who is perhaps manic and not sleeping. Other times it may mean simply being there as a friend in the first few weeks or months following detox or inpatient treatment.

For each companion service, our time includes partnering on daily living tasks paired with healthy activities such as camping. hiking, skiing, backgammon, reading, watching movies or whatever helps the individual restore and return to center.

While I am not a mental health specialist, my job is to encourage individuals to trust and follow the advice of their professional healthcare providers. I am an on-the-ground advocate to develop a positive relationship with individuals and help them realize the many benefits of working with healthcare providers so that they can return to their day-to-day life.

“I don’t know how this situation could have been resolved without your dedication. Thank you for being there for my son when all other options had failed.”

Nature can be the best medicine. Whenever possible I try to get individuals outdoors. Whatever they need to reset and restore...

Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact me if you cannot find an answer to your question.

My philosophy is every individual has the power to break free from a crisis and achieve their goals with trusted and safe supporters to guide them along the way. I work with individuals to highlight their strengths, clarify their needs and goals, and help return to daily living.

Some of my clients are simply seeking peer support post-detox or after completing rehabilitation programs, while others may need 24/7 monitoring to keep them safe and protect them from harming themselves during an extreme once-in-a-lifetime mental health crisis.

Yes, I can happily provide references who have a deep understanding of my historical professional work as an entrepreneur as well as my approach to this unique work in companion care. I also welcome potential clients to run a current background check report to further allay any concerns.
